It's here! The premier edition of the Visit NECT Tourism Guide has been printed and delivered to each of our local private schools plus to well traveled locations all over Northeastern CT and into South Central MA. You can pick up a copy at any of of advertisers listed below.
The Visit NECT Guide is a 40-page, full color visitor guide to the towns of Pomfret, Putnam, Woodstock, Thompson, Eastford, Brooklyn and Killingly, Connecticut. It offers suggestions for places to stay, where to eat and shop, activities, annual events and even suggests some itineraries for those who appreciate convenience or a little more guidance.
The Visit NECT Guide is perfect for newcomers or visitors to the Quiet Corner as well as for residents who want to reach out, explore their own back yards, and support their communities by shopping and dining local.

Dear Northeastern Connecticut Business Leaders,
Did you know that thousands of visitors from all over the world travel to the “Quiet Corner” each year? Many come from metro New York and Boston for a peaceful escape, a destination wedding, or to look for a new home in the country. Others visit from Europe and beyond to view New England's famous fall foliage. And many others arrive from as far as Korea, Japan, Africa and South America to visit students attending one of the six different private schools that we are proud to have in our communities.
We want to give these visitors (and others who are interested in learning more about the area) a useful tool that provides them with information about our very special corner of Connecticut.

Originally conceived by members of the Pomfret Proprietors Association, this project was produced by GDPublishing, LLC. Based in Putnam, CT, GDPublishing, LLC, is a publishing and graphic design agency that has supported the local business community for the last five years by producing the award-winning Putnam Traveler newspaper.
For our premier issue, 8,000 brochures were professionally designed, printed and distributed to advertisers and to local private schools. An online version of the publication is now available here. So far, we have received a great response to this new publication.
